Small and cheap laptops are all the rage these days. After the Asus Eee started the trend and turned a laptop for emerging countries into a blockbuster in western countries, every manufacturer wants in. Once called mini Inspiron, Dell E will be the official name for that mini-laptop. I like the 8.9” display and of course, the $299 price! Finally, that computer might be more configurable at buy moment, when compared to its competitors.

You’ve heard the rumors about the product - here it is in the flesh. Just like the MacBook Air, it is extremely slim in nature thanks to the inclusion of a 64GB solid-state drive along with a 13.3″ LED backlit display. While it is a wee bit thicker and heavier than the MacBook Air, at least it fits into the manila envelope effortlessly as well. I think we’re going to see more broken notebooks in the future whether they get any thinner.
